Repair & Service Policy

By choosing to repair with Tech and Service Xpress, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Fee and Inspection

  • A $49 inspection fee will apply if a fault is successfully identified and the repair is declined.
    This fee will be waived in full if the repair is authorised and carried out.

2. Manufacturer’s Warranty

  • Please note that any repair service provided by Tech and Service Xpress will void your device’s manufacturer warranty.

3. Data Loss

  • While Tech and Service Xpress will take all reasonable precautions during the repair process, we are not responsible for any loss of data. Customers are responsible for backing up any data before submitting their device for repair.

5. Device Condition Check

  • Pre-Repair Inspection: Before starting any repair work, Tech and Service Xpress will perform an inspection of the device to assess its condition. A detailed inspection report will be provided to the customer, along with photos, to document the current state of the device.
  • Unsuccessful Inspection Devices: If a device is unable to undergo a full pre-repair inspection—due to issues such as not powering on, no display, or other faults—Tech and Service Xpress will only be responsible for the parts or services specifically agreed upon for replacement. Any pre-existing or newly discovered issues during or after the repair will not be covered and may result in additional charges. Customers accept this risk when proceeding with the repair without a complete device assessment.

6. Repair Service Details

  • Price Estimates: All repair pricing will be estimated prior to work being performed. Once a final quote has been agreed upon, no additional fees will be charged unless new damage or parts are discovered during the repair process.
  • Authorization to Repair: Work will not begin without the customer’s explicit consent. If additional work is required after the repair has started, Tech and Service Xpress will contact the customer for authorization.

7. Warranty Information

  • 3-Month Warranty on Parts: Tech and Service Xpress offers a 3-month warranty on most parts. Warranty excludes accidental damage, misuse, liquid ingress, or physical damage to the device.

8. Refund and Return Policy

  • Refunds: Once the repair has been completed and the device is collected, no refunds will be provided. In the case of a faulty part or service under warranty, a repair or replacement will be provided at no additional charge.
  • Return of Parts: If a replacement part is deemed unnecessary or is returned due to customer dissatisfaction, it will be subject to inspection and approval by Tech and Service Xpress. Refunds for parts may be issued based on this assessment.

9. Uncollected Devices

  • Device Collection Terms: Devices must be collected within 30 days of repair completion. If not collected within this timeframe, a $29 administration and storage fee will be applied. Devices not collected within 60 days will be disposed of, unless otherwise agreed upon.

10. Liability Limitations

  • Liability for Damages: Tech and Service Xpress will not be liable for any damage to your device caused by forces beyond our control, including natural disasters, water damage, or third-party damage.
  • Unintended Damages: While every effort will be made to protect your device, Tech and Service Xpress is not responsible for any damages or issues occurring during the repair process beyond those specifically related to the service being provided. For example, minor scratches may occur during repairs like back glass replacements, but these will be disclosed to the customer. Tech and Service Xpress will not be held liable for such cosmetic imperfections unless caused by our own negligence.

11. Customer Privacy

  • Personal Data Protection: Tech and Service Xpress is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not access or use any personal data on your device except for what is necessary to complete the service. All personal data will remain confidential.

12. Device Collection

  • If your device is not collected within 30 days after the completion of the repair, a $29 administration and storage fee will apply.

13. Additional Damage

  • If additional damage is discovered during the repair process that was not mentioned by the customer, Tech and Service Xpress will not be responsible for any further issues or costs.

Inspection Report & Photos:

  • An inspection report will be completed prior to any repair work. This will include a detailed assessment of your device’s condition, and photos will be taken for documentation purposes.

Staff Responsibilities:

  • Repair Scope: As a staff member of Tech and Service Xpress, I will only replace or swap parts as required for the service.
  • Damage Disclosure: If any damage is caused during the repair process, it will be disclosed and repaired, and if any part unrelated to the service is broken, it will be replaced with a new generic part at no additional cost. If a generic part is unavailable, I will cover the difference for a third-party replacement.
  • Device Safety: I will never take or steal your device.
  • Fair Charges: I will not charge you any extra fees apart from the agreed-upon price for the repair.
  • Privacy Assurance: I will not access any of your private information except for those apps necessary for performing a general check, including the phone, front and rear cameras, and settings.
  • Repair Documentation: Your personal information will only be used for documenting the repair history.
